Client Service Terms

Effective Date: August 25, 2026

These Client Service Terms (“Service Terms”) apply once you engage The Personal Professor for tutoring, test preparation, or related academic services (the “Services”), in addition to our Terms of Use, which govern this website generally. By booking a consultation or engaging our Services, you agree to these Service Terms.

This is a structural first draft only — every bracketed section below needs a real answer from you (cancellation policy, refund policy, payment methods, and your legal business name/address) before this document is accurate, let alone enforceable. Please have an attorney review the final version — unlike the other three pages, this one creates the actual contract with your clients.

Our Services

The Personal Professor provides individualized academic tutoring, test preparation, and related educational support, delivered by our founder and our team of Personal Professors, Staff Tutors, and Teaching Interns. The specific scope, subjects, schedule, and format (in-person or virtual) for your engagement will be confirmed separately following your consultation.

Scheduling & Cancellations

We ask that sessions be rescheduled or canceled with at least XX hours/days notice. Describe what happens with less notice — e.g., a late-cancellation fee, or the session being forfeited. Describe how make-up sessions work, if you offer them.

Fees & Payment

Fees for our Services are set out separately in your service agreement or invoice and are subject to change for future engagements. Payment is due describe payment timing — e.g., in advance, monthly, per session via describe accepted payment methods.

Refunds

Describe your refund policy — e.g., unused prepaid sessions are refundable within X days, or become non-refundable once a session is delivered.

Confidentiality

We treat information about a student's academic performance, needs, and any personal circumstances shared with us as confidential, sharing it only with the tutors and staff directly involved in that student's program, or as required by law.

No Guarantee of Outcomes

As described in our Terms of Use, we do not guarantee specific grades, test scores, or admission outcomes. Our commitment is to thoughtful, individualized instruction — not a promised result.

Conduct

We expect a respectful, safe environment for both students and tutors, and reserve the right to pause or end an engagement if either party's conduct makes that environment untenable.

Termination

Either party may end an ongoing engagement with XX notice. Describe how any prepaid, unused sessions are handled upon termination — this likely mirrors your refund policy above.

Governing Law

These Service Terms are governed by the laws of the State of State, without regard to its conflict-of-law principles.
